Around Annecy
Yvoire is a medieval village built in the early 14th century and located on the French shore of Lake Geneva, in Haute-Savoie. It is for sure of the most beautiful villages I have ever visited. The medieval architecture is breathtaking and travels you back in time. You will admire the gorgeous flowers, trees and beautiful shops around the village. Don’t miss a walk across the lake!
Thônes and La Clusaz are located in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes. Two beautiful Alpine villages, known for their winter tourism as we are now approaching Mont Blanc, the highest mountain in the Alpes. We were able to gaze its snowy tops…
Megève, a ski resort village in the Alpes of southeastern France, in the Mont Blanc massif. It somehow felt like Christmas, fairy lights were on, it was very cold, it was winter time. The village is so beautiful, with great restaurants, boutiques, chic chalets and medieval streets. A dinner to remember!!!
On our way back to Provence we visited Chanaz, the little Venice of Savoy. Located on the edge of Savière canal, which connects the Rhone au Bourget Lake. The natural habitat will take your breath away, flowers and trees are simply gorgeous.
