CLAMATO

We visited Clamato for lunch on the very first day we arrived in Paris. What an amazing experience it was! It is a fish restaurant with a very cool / rustic-chic atmosphere. They are presenting an alternative menu of creative seafood dishes and a good selection of wines. The staff is very young, funny and they all speak English!

Top dishes for us were: tarama with extra virgin olive oil (we actually order it twice), sardines with tomato sauce on crispy bread and the buttery Bok choy warm salad! The bread was with sourdough and it never stopped from coming... We had a glass of white wine.

L'Eclair De Genie

For dessert we walked all the way to L'Eclair De Genie and had a small selection of mini eclairs to go. Mango, macadamias with dark chocolate, lemon-yuzu-meringue and salty caramel.  Sooooo yummy and fresh!

Allard

We visited Allard during our first night out in Paris. We were so looking forward to it as we knew it would be an amazing experience. Allard is a must visit French bistro, the atmosphere is relaxing and instantly travels you back in time. The deco is beautifully preserved throughout the years and the menu will simply thrill your pallet. The wine list is endless! The staff is wearing traditionally old-fashioned outfits, they are all very friendly and they speak English.

I do not think that we have favourite dishes from Allard, every single one was exquisite!
We ordered: Escargots in their shells, beef tartare (to die for), veal sweetbread and profiteroles with warm chocolate soup and vanilla ice-cream. We had a bottle of red wine - 2018 Clos ST Pierre Givry 1er Cru, Pinot Noir, Domaine Thenard.

LE SAINT SEBASTIEN

Second night out in Paris and we visited Le Saint Sebastien, a bar-restaurant that serves a creative and modern cuisine with a focus on seasonal vegetables. The atmosphere is friendly and makes you feel so welcome, as if you somehow have been there before. Everyone speaks English and are very helpful and approachable.

Top dishes of the night were: Olives vertes de Sicile, poultry Pâté with pickled cucumbers, cooked leaks with veggies and sauce, deep fried artichokes and an amazing goat cheese with dried figs and the incredible sourdough nonstop bread. We had a bottle of Zinzolin Un Flot de Raisins Bleus.

ECHO

Echo is a must visit brunch spot in Paris, it has a cozy atmosphere and yummy food! The coffee was great and our favourite dishes were: Morning Sandy, a smashed beef steak with cheddar, fried egg, side of chili oil on an English muffin and the Pandan Mochi Style Pancake, pandan pancakes with blueberry and blackberry coulis and a whipped coconut cream.

KB COFFEE ROASTERS

Located in Montmartre, at the most beautiful square lays KB Coffee Roasters. They serve THE BEST coffee in Paris, together with some very tasty breakfast snacks. Our favourite dishes were:  Carrot cake, scones with jam and cream and the extremely spicy ham and cheese toast with jalapenos!

BURGER JOINT

Time for some much-needed junk food! Only THE BEST burger I have ever eaten in my life! The Burger Joint is a tiny spot right behind the Centre Pompidou, at a very hipster and trendy neighbourhood.

Our favourite burgers were: Cheeseburger, pulled pork burger and if I remember correctly the ‘special’ of the day was the Mexica burger, with chicken, avocado and jalapenos. French fries are a must and they come with each burger.

P.S. My phone had died at this point, therefore I don't have enough pictures.

LE CAVEAU DES OUBLIETTES

We were walking near the Cathédrale Notre-Dame when we spotted this bar. We realized that there would be a live concert of jazz and soul and immediately decided to go for it! The owner is very friendly and knows how to keep his customers happy. The live show was performed underground. It was a night to remember and the perfect way to say goodbye to Paris.
